| Municipal vehicle carrying timber seized | | | Early Times Reporter

On the specific information, DFO Bhaderwah BL Zadoo today constituted a team of the officials of the forest division Bhaderwah and seized vehicle of the Bhaderwah Municipality JK06 1668 along with thirty three illicit timber that it was carrying under J & K Forest Act . The vehicle belongs to the Municipal Committee Bhaderwah and was driven by one Ranbhir Singh and he was accompanied by a sanitary inspector, the DFO informed adding that vehicle was seized at Sungli Village and a case has been lodged J&K Forest Act under sec 26 –section 4 a .DFO Bhaderwah also informed that in this connection conservator of forests ,Chenab has been informed under letter no 4067-68 dated 23-10-07 and further investigation is going on .
The accused driver told the media person that the timber was loaded on the direction of one sanitary inspector who is presently working in BMC. It is need full to mention here that last year the same BMC truck was seized by then DFO for allegedly supplying the fire wood. |
