Quarterfinals position has been cleared in junior snooker event in the ongoing 17th state billiards and snooker championships underway at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here today.
Now, the quarterfinals shall be played on league basis from tomorrow, followed by the semi-finals on October 26 at 12 noon.
The eight quarterfinalists have been divided into two pools of A and B. In pool-A, Nikhil Kapahi, Yuvraj Singh, Ishuk Choudhary and Dilawar Mir have been placed. The group-B is comprised of Abhishek Goswami, Miya Bashir, Rajesh Salathia and Muddasar.
Meanwhile, according to the organising secretary, Jaideep Manocha the senior snooker competitions shall start from October 27 at 4 pm.
