| PG Deptts enter women’s kabaddi final | | | Early Times Reporter

The combined side of Post Graduate Departments today turned the tables against Government College for Women (GCW) Parade to reach the final of inter-college women’s kabaddi tournament underway at University grounds, here.
In the first semi-final played this morning, PG Departments beat Parade College by a margin of 27 points. Leading by just three points at the end of first half, PG girls played an improved game in the later stages of the match and managed to make it a big win.
Sukhmeet Kour scored highest 43 points while Arti Choudhary contributed 10 points to the team’s total. From GCW Parade, Neha Rajput scored 18 points, followed by Sabita Kumar and Rajni who contributed nine and six points respectively.
The second semi-final could not take place in the absence of both Degree College Kathua and Degree College Akhnoor thereby paving the way for GCW Gandhi Nagar into the final. |
