State cabinet at its meeting here today cleared the name of BR Kundal for the post of Chief Secretary. C.Phunsog, the outgoing Chief Secretary, was meanwhile, appointed as adviser to the Government.
As per a cabinet order Kundal will take over as Chief Secretary from November 1.After being named as next CS, Kumdal is reported to have expressed, “I am happy as the Government has placed an important responsibility on my shoulders.” He said he would ensure that the working in all Government departments, including the civil secretariat, remained transparent. He said that he would lay emphasis on all officers devoting sometime for listening to the grievances and problems of people. His focus will be on improving work culture in the civil secretariat and other government departments The cabinet also cleared certain other postings as Dr Muzaffar Ahmed, Director Health Services Kashmir, has been promoted to the suppertime scale of Rs.18400 to Rs.22400. A. R. Natnoo, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Doda has been transferred and posted as General Manager, DIC, Doda relieving Project Officer, DRDA, Doda of the additional charge of the post.
Syed Attaullah Samnani, Programmer Officer, ICDS Budgam has been transferred and posed as General Manager, DIC, Pulwama relieving Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama of the additional charge of the post.
Rajinder Prasad, Project Officer, DRDA Doda has been transferred and posted as General Manager, DIC, Kathua against available vacancy.
Mohammad Rehman Gasi, Project Officer, DRDA Kupwara has been transferred and posted as General Manager, DIC, Kupwara against available vacancy.
Mohammad Ashraf Wani, Project Manager, DIC, Baramulla has been transferred and posted as General Manager, DIC, Baramulla against available vacancy.
Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Project Manager, DIC, Kathua has been transferred and posted as General Manager, DIC, Udhampur against available vacancy.
Om Parkash, Under Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commissioner has been transferred and posted as Collector, Power Grid Corporation of India, Jammu against available vacancy. |
