Poonch | Oct 25
Three bears were killed by villagers at Bidar-Saujian in Mandi of frontier Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources today said.
''Carcasses of one full grown female bear and two young ones -- male and female -- have been recovered by the forest officials,'' sources said.
The wild beasts were apparently killed with using sharp edged weapons later Tuesday, sources said, asserting the body of a female bear also carried bullet mark.
An FIR under Wild Life Protection Act was registered against the villagers, sources said.
An investigation was also ordered into the matter, they informed.
