| Government not serious in solving unemployment: LJS | | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Oct 25 Showing concern over rising unemployment in Kashmir, Lok Jan Shakti Party's (LJP) vice-president and in-charge Jammu and Kashmir Sanjay Saraf today appealed the state government to be serious in solving this "burning problem". "The main issue in Kashmir is unemployment. But ironically no political leadership, and no government as yet in the state has worked a bit in solving the problem of unemployment among our youth, who later go astray and tread illegal tracks out of frustration," said Saraf while addressing media persons here today. Criticizing the incumbent government of failing to curbing the growing unemployment in the state, Sanjay Saraf applauded the step taken by LJP president Ram Vilas Paswan by announcing the installment of steel plant in Kashmir. "When Paswan ji can understand that unemployment is main problem in Kashmir and he ordered the installation of steel plant; why not our chief minister and other ministers fail to understand the problem," he said. It is important to mention here that the union minister for fertilizers and chemicals Ram Vilas Paswan in his latest visit to Jammu and Kashmir announced the installment of a steel palnt on 250 kanal land at Lasipora Pulwama. Holding political leaders responsible for the human rights violations in the state, the LJP vice-president blamed all those leaders – who come to power by getting only few hundred votes -- as perpetrators of sexual exploitation of innocent women and girls, indulging in corruption practices unabatedly, and other moral and social degradations. "These politicians are playing with the emotions and aspirations of Kashmiris and taking the state on the path of destruction," he said, adding that the death of R-e-T teacher in Rawatpora Kupwara should be thoroughly probed into by a high level committee and the erring security men should be put to task under law. Sajay stressed upon the central government to take the "draconian" or special powers away from the securities forces in Jammu and Kashmir, as such powers with the forces, as per him have became more of the power of might to use against innocent people, than to help them in curbing militancy. Advocating that proper relief should be given to all the fire victims Doda and Srinagar, Saraf appealed people to get united in rehabilitating the fire victims in the same way, as people here were after earthquake for earthquake victims. Stating that kashmiriyat is still alive in valley with same gaiety and charm as it was decades before, Saraf thanked the people of Kashmir, especially the people of majority community for celebrating the festivals like Dushera, Janam Astami, Eid, Baisaki in the same religious fervor and brotherhood as it used to in the traditions of Kashmir. The LJP sate president challenged all those Kashmiri pandit factions, especially Panun Kashmir, who as per him speaks venoms against Kashmir in Jammu and Delhi, to come to their land and speak their heat out among their own people. "If they are courageous enough to stand amongst their own people they should come here and speak it out. Projecting a negative propaganda against Kashmir and majority community outside Kashmir, is their ill-gotten policy of destroying traditional bond of inter-community love and amity in valley," he said, adding that such vested interests will never succeed in their nefarious designs. |
