| Medical camp held | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 25 43 Rashtriya Rifles (Rajputana Rifles) organized a Medical Camp as part of Operation Sadbhavana at Government Middle School, Maniyalgali, Tehsil – Thanamandi, district Rajouri today. Special medical facilities were made available to the people from far flung villages who participated in the Camp. The patients were rendered medical advice and provided with free medicine during the Camp. About 800 patients of all age groups were examined and provided free treatment at the camp. Besides, immunization of children between 0-10 years was also carried out under National Immunisation Programme. Screening of film and lectures on Immunisation, family planning, child health, hygiene and sanitation were also organized to create awareness amongst those who attended. A broad spectrum of diseases were encountered while treating patients at the medical camp, the most prevalent of them being water borne diseases, respiratory diseases, skin disorders and musculoskeletal disorders. Severe cases were directed to report to Battalion Medical Inspection room at Thanamandi for proper follow up and management. Response was positive and the turnout was more than expected. Civil doctor alongwith Nursing Staff rendered their valuable services at the Medical Camp. The locals thanked the Army and requested for more such camps in future in the region. They also assured to become partners in development of the region. |
