early times reporter Srinagar | August 20 Governor General (Retired) S.K. Sinha will be formally giving away the medals and cash prizes to over fifty recipients of the State Awards announced in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006 at the Investiture Ceremony being held at Raj Bhawan, Srinagar on August 24 2006 at 1600 hours. Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and members of his council of Ministers are also expected to attend the ceremony. It is after a gap of four years that the Investiture Ceremony is being held to give away the State Awards announced during the previous years. The Deputy Commissioners of various Districts have been asked to inform the recipients to reach Srinagar on the 22nd and 23rd August to attend the ceremony at Raj Bhawan on the scheduled date. The General Administration Department (GAD) is making all arrangements in coordination with the Raj Bhawan Secretariat for the award ceremony. Commissioner-Secretary GAD Khurshid Ahmed Ganai has designated Under Secretary General Administration Department Asgar Hussain, (Telephone: 9419429947) as the Nodal Officer to enable the prospective recipients to obtain necessary information about the arrangements being made for the Investiture ceremony.
