| Shaheedi Divas to be organized at Kathua on October, 27 | | | Early Times Reporter

Former Minister and Member Parliament Ch. Lal Singh has said that the ninth Shaheedi Divas will be organized on October, 27 to facilitate the families of persons of District Kathua who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of the nation,
Addressing a press conference here today, Lal Singh said that the people of Kathua have been playing a stupendous role in every respect for the nation and it becomes a moral duty to remember the sacrifices of the people of District for the cause of nation.
"The people of District have contributed every time in a big way and have never shied away from sacrificing their lives while defending the borders of the country", he said.
He further said that ninety families of those who have sacrificed their lives have been identified this year for facilitation on this day.
Referring to unemployment problem in the district, he said that he had recently met Defense Minister of India and asked him to recruit the youth belonging to border, Kandi and Pahari belts of District in various defense organizations.
Regarding the non availability of basic amenities in the far flung areas of district, he said that he was making every effort to provide the basic facilities to the people living in remote areas of the district and many areas will be provided road connectivity and electricity in near future. |
