President National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shashtri at a workers’ meet held here has urged upon the central government to implement sixth pay commission saying that this will give relief to the salaried class from the economic hardships due to rising prices.
He also demanded release of long pending salary of motivators working in IWDP project in Akhnoor and regularization of all daily wagers. Shastri further sought that the COLA in favour of the employees working in Public Sector Undertakings should be released as early as possible.
During the meting, Shastri also appealed to the Home Minister to introduce a bill in the next winter session of the Parliament for declaring Jammu and Srinagar as B-1 cities for which both the cities already meet the requisite conditions.
Others who also spoke on the occasion included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Sham Lal Sharma, Geeeta Devi, Bodh Raj Sharma and others. |
