| Cases registered against former DSP, 6 policemen | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 29 A former Deputy Superintendent of police was among seven policemen against whom two cases of missing records of land grabbing in the state were registered on Monday, official sources said. The state crime branch registered the cases against former DSP, P N Tickoo and six others in connection with missing records of two cases pertaining to land grabbing in 1991 and 1992, they said. The cases were registered after DSP Mushtaq Ahmed reported that two important case records are missing from the official cupboards, they said. Ahmed said that officers, who handled the case, failed to give a satisfactory response of the missing records, according to official sources. A probe has been ordered in this connection, they added. |
