| Narwal police claims solving theft cases | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 29 Narwal police arrested a person on the charges of burgling into temples and claimed to have solved many cases in different part of the city. According to reports, two days back police received a complaint in which the complainants had said that a thief had stolen some cash and other items from Rajeev Nagar temple. After receiving the complaint IC/PP Narwal Vikram Sharma started investigating the matter. Sources said during investigation, police picked a suspect namely Ashok Kumar son of Lakhveer Singh resident of Punjab at present Rajeev Nagar, who during interrogation confessed that he had stolen the cash and other items from the temple and sold the same to one Vinod Kumar son of Hans Raj resident of Bhaderwah at present Narwal. Later police also arrested Vinod and registered a case under section 380 RPC under FIR No. 196/2007 against them. Sources said during interrogation the Ashok told police that he was also involved in various other theft cases and his interrogation was on as last reports came in. |
