On way to the pre-quarterfinals, eighth seed Sohail Khalid and junior snooker finalist Mudassar Ashiq today lost their senior snooker matches in the ongoing 17th State Billiards and Snooker Championships at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here.
While Sohail was beaten by Miya Bashir 3-2, Mudassar lost to Ishan Choudhary by three frames to one in the second round today.
However, except for Sohail, all other the senior cueists have won their respective second round matches. They include Sanjeev Gupta, Kamal Rohmetra and Jaideep Manocha.
Now, after the completion of third round of pre-quarters tomorrow, the quarterfinals league round shall start from October 31.
