No development in Bani: Hyder

Former Dy. Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and senior National Conference leader – Ghulam Hyder Malik conducted seven days tour of upper reaches of Bani Assembly segment. During his tour, Malik visited three holy shrine – Nolani Mata, Doulah Mata and Jodha Mata, those are about 9000 sq ft above the sea level where more than one lakh devotees offer darshans during Navratras.
Malik ascertain the problems of these yatries and said that no such facilities were made by the government those are required for the yatries in these hilly, chilled mountains. Gh. Hyder Malik assured the yatries that the matter will be taken up with the concerned authorities.
Malik said that one road from Jodha Mata was under construction and six kms of this road was constructed during his period as MLA, but the work on the said road has been stopped during the present regime for the reasons best known to them. He said the said link and can play a vital role for the development of these naturally beautiful places of Bani and Malhar area and tourism can be boosted up at these places, which will ultimately help the poor inhabitants in raising their standard of living.
Malik also visited Malhar, Dheman, Koti and Chandyhar villages, where he found that the schools are under staff due to which the students of this far flung area are made to suffer.
He expressed concern over the callous attitude adopted by the present coalition governments towards this neglected constituency. He said the coalition government has failed on all fronts and all their slogans and promises have fallen flat. He said the developmental activities in these far flung areas are no where, people are being deprived of basic amenities, and the schools are without requisite staff. The vacant posts of teachers in various schools of this remote area are not filled up despite repeated requests to the concerned authorities. The hospitals are without paramedical staff and doctors.
He demand that immediate action for filling up vacant posts of teachers and Masters in the schools be taken so that the career of the students are not spoiled keeping in the short academic session due to winter season.
Among others who were present accompanied him during his tour included Nazir Ahmed Darm Dhani Ram and others.
