World Community of Indian Art will project
Group members call on Governor

Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) S K Sinha today lauded the voluntarily efforts in promoting rich cultural heritage of India, saying this will bring peace and harmony in the world.
Interacting with a Italian and Spanish NGO, The World Cmmunity of Indian culture and Traditional Discipline here this evening , Governor said that great Indian civilization has withstood the test of times and survived though other many other contemporary civilizations vanished with the passage of time.
General Sinha elaborately deliberated on the cultural reminisce and said that the land of Seers and Saints have spread the message universal brotherhood around the world. In this context, he referred to the historical discourse of Swami Vivekananda in Chicago wherein he had said that the essence of all religions was the same and still for universal brotherhood, peace, love and compassion. He also referred to the great ethos of Kashmiriat and said that it has been a strong weapon to fight intolerance and hatred. Though Kashmitriat received tremendous setback during the onslaught of militancy yet its soul remained in tack. He said that the revival of Kashmiriat is answer to all ills in the society.
The Chairperson of the society Ms Emy Blesio presented a memento to the governor and gave a presentation of their activities around the world especially Europe.
A delegation of World Community for Art (NGO) lead by Ms Emy Blesio from Italy and Ms Mayte Criado from Spain today called on Governor at Raj Bhawan. They informed the Governor regarding Rom Festival in which they are interested to project Kashmiri culture as well. They said that they were impressed after visiting Valley with its rich back ground of composite and Sufiyana culture. They said in Rome festival they would like to project Kashmir as symbol of secularism, peace and harmony.
The delegation presented a memento to the Governor. On the occasion among others the Director Information and Public Relations, Khawaja Farooq Renzu was also present.
Later on at repute function the World Community awards were given to Director Information and Public Relations Khawaja Farooq Renzu and Tariq Ahmad Lone of Aaj Tak. Feroze ali and Sameer Bhat who are deputies of this community representing Kashmir Chapter J&K, were also present on the occasion.
