| JK Govt is a coalition of land grabbers: BJP | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 31 The state unit of BJP has demanded arrest of Talat Pervez, CEO Bhaderwah Development Authority and a high level inquiry into the circumstances leading to the police lathi charge in Bhaderwah on those whose precious land had been forcibly occupied by the government for the construction of tourists huts at village Sungli of Bhaderwah. The BJP has also demanded ex-gratia relief for those who got serious injuries along with the full compensation at market rate. In a statement issued by Bali Bhagat, State General secretary and D K Kotwal, senior BJP leader here today said that it was highly condemnable that the Government has forcibly occupied 350 canals of land of several villagers belonging to several communities for setting campus of Jammu University at Bhaderwah without paying them any compensation. The BJP leaders said that the congress led govt.in the state was a coalition of land grabbers which were taking steps like smacking of criminalism. They also accused Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad of playing criminal politics by construction of Mati-Gowran to Wardwan road which could help Muslims when he had not bothered to construct a 27 k.m long road between Patimhala and Dachhaan for which the Hindus dominating the area had been voicing their demand for the last 40 years. |
