| JKNPP leader blames NC, Cong for economic backwardness | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 31 JKNPP leader Ghulam Ali Engineer has blamed the previous regimes of NC and Congress for educational and economic backwardness among STs, SCs, OBCs, downtrodden masses and the poor rural people across the state. Addressing a press conference here today, he said that mostly NC and Congress had ruled the J&K since 1947 and the leadership of both the parties had never projected or encouraged the interests of ST, SC and OBCs besides other downtrodden and the poor rural people. He said that JKNPP shared power in the coalition govt with one cabinet minister for Education, Harsh Dev Singh. With the single stroke of pen the minister was able to open thousands of SSA centers, primary Schoool, upgrade primary school to middle schools, middle schools to high schools and Hr. Sec. Schools across the state. The leader alleged that the housing deptt, JDA, KDA and Aquaf are working for the rich people, corrupt officials and politicians. He alleged that no single colony or business establishments are allotted to reserved or provided to the poor, unemployed, scheduled tribe, scheduled caste, rural segments and other poor sections of the society. He also alleged that the NC and Congress are two sides of the same coin and they are anti poor, anti ST, SC, and anti rural and weaker sections of the society. |
