| PG Deptts lifts basketball trophy | | | Early Times Reporter

The combined side of Post Graduate Departments today clinched the inter-college basketball trophy beating Government College for Women (GCW), Parade 17-13 in the final which was played at University courts here today.
Close at the half time 12-11, PG girls played a comparatively superior game adding a couple of quick points to their score. Moreover the PG girls seemed to be better in stamina which helped them in the fag end of the game to improve their lead further.
It was Natasha who led the PG from the front and contributed highest 12 points. From Parade College Tanya fought well adding four points to the team’s score.
Earlier, before the match started, Director Physical Education, Prof Lokesh Verma was introduced with the finalist teams.
The final was officiated by Aman Sharma, Solanki, Harpreet Singh and Ajay Singh. The three-day tournament was organized by the Department of Physical Education, University of Jammu. |
