Setting a big target of 372 runs in the first innings, J&K reduced Himachal to 102 runs for seven at the end of day-two play. When the day’s play was called off, Varun Sharma was playing confidently at 44. Zahoor Sofi displayed excellent spell of fast bowling taking five wickets for J&K while Mahraj bagged two. Earlier, it was due to the magnificent innings of 168 runs from Manish Dogra that hosts managed a big total. Resuming their innings from overnight score of 224 for four, J&K added 148 more runs to set a competitive target of 372 in 137.5 over for the visitors. Needing five more runs to complete his century today, Manish not only scored his best but also allowed Ubaid to play freely. Obaid was second highest scorer with 64 runs. |
