Early Times Reporter Jammu | Oct 31 Balwant Rai Kundal an Indian Administrative Officer (IAS) of 1972 batch today took over as Chief Secretary of the State from Chewang Phunsog. While interacting with media persons after taking over the post Mr. Kundal said that his endeavour would be to carry forward all the policies of the government envisaged for welfare of the people. He said that presently a capable and intelligent team of officers is working in the administration who would do their best in giving the practical shape to the dream of prosperity and progress of the state envisaged by the Chief Minister, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad. Outgoing Chief Secretary, Mr C. Phunsog thanked all particularly the administration of the state for extending him cooperation during his tenure as Chief Secretary. He said the administration of our state is one of the best in the country. Later, Mr. Kundal had informal interaction with prominent citizens, general masses and other officers present on the occasion. Among others, Principal Secretary GAD, Mr. Khursheed Ahmed Ganai, DGP, Mr. Kuldeep Khuda, Chief Electoral Officer, Mr B.R Sharma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Mr. Sudhanshu Pandey, Vigilance Commissioner, Mr. Ashok Bhan, Commissioner Secretary Finance, Mr B.B. Vyas, IGP Jammu, Dr S.P Vaid, IGP Srinagar, Mr S.M Sahai, Director Estates, Mr B.A Runyal, Director Geology and Mining, Mr Parvez Malik, Joint Director Information, Mr S.K Sharma and President Chamber of Commerce and Trade, Mr Ram Sahai attended the function. |
