| NC’s road-shows to showcase coalition’s ‘failures’ | | | Early Times Reporter Sringar | Nov 1 J&K National Conference President Omar Abdullah has decided to start a state wide campaign of road-shows and public meetings to convince the people of the state of the need to use the forth coming election to bring about a change. This campaign will be used to educate the people of the state of the failures of the Mufti and Azad regimes. In a meeting held at the party headquarters, here today Omar Abdullah discussed the future strategy and programmes of the party. Omar reiterated National Conference's resolve to work for the upliftment of the downtrodden, backward and the youth of the state and unfolded his plans to the party leaders for the future. Omar Abdullah noted with pain the sufferings of the people of the state because of the failure of the present coalition government which has only added to the miseries of the people of the state. The increase of human rights violations, custodial killings, unemployment, failure of the administrative machinery are a matter of great concern he asserted. The meeting was attended by Mehboob Beg, Provincial President Kashmir, Ajay Sadhotra, Provincial President, Jammu , Mohammad Akbar Lone, Dy. Speaker, Devender Singh Rana, MLC and Nasir Sogami. |
