Educational Tour held

An excursion for elders of Rajouri and Poonch district conducted under OPERATION SADBHAVANA by 43 Rashtriya Rifles on behalf of ROMEO FORCE, was flagged off at Thanamandi today. The elders will be taken to places of National, Historical and Religious importance like Bagh-e-Bahu Fort (Jammu), Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Parliament House, Appu Ghar, India Gate (Delhi) Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri (Agra), Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh, Wagah Border (Amritsar) and Rock Garden (Chandigarh) giving them an opportunity to see these monuments at first hand and also to imbibe the secular culture of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Officiating Sector Commander, 13 Sector stated that the development of the State can be achieved only by development of the citizen and it is our duty to expose the rich cultural heritage of our nation to these venerable citizens. He further said once they have seen the fruits of modernization prevalent in the country they will motivate their kith and kin to work hard and try and achieve the fruits of modernization.
The tour also provides the elders an opportunity to see at first hand
the, “Unity in Diversity” of India. During the tour, they will also witness the vast strides in technology, economic development and the myriad facilities available to citizens in the metropolis. Expressing optimism and excitement at being given an opportunity to move out of the confines of their state boundary, the elders were keen to interact with their brethren at the various towns being visited and looked forward to exchanging views and experiences with them. The tour will also spread a message of goodwill and make the bond between ‘Fauj and the Awam’ stronger. ROMEO FORCE has been making all efforts to usher development in Rajouri and Poonch districts to restore normalcy and bring the fruits of technology and economic development to the masses.
The flagging off ceremony was attended by Senior Officials of the District Administration and relatives of excursion steam, who thanked ROMEO FORCE for their efforts in making the long cherished dream of their elders come true
