With two wins each in their favour, Younis Kuchey and Umar Humayoon are leading their respective pools in quarterfinals league round of senior snooker in the ongoing 17th State Billiards and Snooker Champions underway at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here today.
In today’s league matches Younis Kuchey defeated Ishan Choudhary in straight frames. Umar also won his match against Miya Bashir but with a bit of struggle 3-2.
Meanwhile, in pool-B, senior cueist Kamal Rohmetra and Kuldeep Sharma are trailing behind with one win each whereas Ishuk Choudhary has lost both his matches. Now, it will tomorrow’s tie between Kamal and Kuldeep that will decided the fate of second semi-finalist from group-B. Younis Kuchey is leading with two wins from this group.
In other group, one of the three cueists Sanjeev Gupta, Vishal Abrol and Miya Bashir has to make it into the semis with Umar.
