| J&K takes lead in U-22 cricket | | | Early Times Reporter SRINAGAR | Nov 1 Jammu and Kashmir today managed a 94 runs after Himachal Pradesh saved the possible follow on, courtesy a brilliant 112 runs 8th wicket partnership between Varun Sharma and Abhishek Sharma in the ongoing C K Naidu under-22 cricket tournament underway at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here today. When the stumps were drawn, J&K were playing at 138 for four. Manish Dogra was the top scorer in the second innings with 53 runs. Vishal Sharma clinched two wickets for Himachal. Earlier, resuming their innings from overnight score of 102 for seven, Himachal brought their first innings total to 278 at the end of day three play today. In fact, it was brilliant century by Varun Sharma and 65 runs patient innings from Abhishek Sharma that guided visitors to a respectable total. From J&K, Zahoor Sofi claimed five wickets while Mehraj took three. |
