| PDP leader tours village interiors | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 1 Senior PDP leader and former minister M.S.Tariq while touring remote villages, Palulian and Nangoon in district Rajouri today asserted that roads of the villages are in dilapidated condition which also connects with the famous Ziarat where large number of people pay obeisance during its usual festival face lot of hardships as they had to cover distant on foot due to bad condition of the roads. In this regard he said,that these residents have made several requests to the concerned authorities but nothing has been done till date. He also demanded that the tourist huts be constructed keeping in view the heavy rush of pilgrims during annual pilgrimage to this ziarat and besides scarcity of water supply and poor power supply of the area be redressed at an earliest and added that enquiry be initiated against the BAPD authorities about the misutilization of funds. He further demanded that a befitting memorial be built in the name of Prof. Mohd Rashid resident of the said village who had dedicated his life for the upliftment of the people of this area and assured that he will take up the matter with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal of demands.Those who participate in the public meeting were Ch Abdul Hamid, Haji Mohd.Riaz,Sarpanch Mohd.Din,Ismail and others. |
