| Shiv Sena flays JMC, CAPD for failure to check synthetic milk products | | | Early Times Reporter

Expressing anguish and concern over the CAPD and Jammu Municipal Corporation authorities for their alleged failure to check the sale and use of synthetic milk and milk products in Jammu Province, Shiv Sena today threatened to launch a stir in case the authorities do not take steps to control the menace.
Addressing a Press Conference, here today, Ashok Gupta Gen Secy Shiv Sena said that during Diwali milk products and sweets are generally used on the occasion. But it is quite unfortunate on the part of coalition govt that the authorities in CAPD along with those of Jammu Municipal Corporation have practically taken no step to control the sale of synthetic milk products and sweets.
Gupta demanded that sales tax authorities should depute inspectors to check main business houses of sweet manufacturers to ascertain their sales, since VAT deposited by such business houses is not in accordance with their actual sales based on synthetic black marketed basic raw Khoa.
He expressed anguish over the controlling authorities of Jammu Municipal Corporation, for its failure to check the sweet storage places / godowns /mode of manufacturing of sweets and other products / provision of refrigerators for maintaining the standard of sweets and also to ascertain the date of manufacturing of sweets and its expiry under the provisions of Prevention of Food Adulteration Act. |
