The power minister Nawang Rigzin Jora reviewed the power scenario in a meeting attended among others by Dy Commissioner, Dr. M.K. Bhandari, Superintending engineer PDD, Asghar Ali and executive engineer electricity Warikoo.
The Minister was told that two diesel generators of the capacity of 1500 KVA have already reached and another such generator of 1500 KVA is also reaching within a week along with penal and transformer. These generators would be commissioner in Power Station Choglamsar. The meeting was further told that 10 generators of the capacity of 500 KVA are already stand existed, at Choglamsar and which provide electricity during winter season. Beside this 5 diesel generators of the capacity 250 KVA and 160 KVA has already reached and are to be commissioner in different villages of the district.
The Power Minister said that govt is committed to make adequate electricity facility in the district and it is this initiative that 3 generators of 1500 KVA and another 5 generators of 250 KVA and 160 KVA are procured.
Jora stressed upon the engineers to work dedicatedly for laying of poles and wiring, enabling commissioner of the generators so that electricity is upgraded and the benefit percolate to the people. |
