A delegation of Samajwadi Party (SP) of district Doda called on state president of party Sheikh Abdul Rehman here today and apprised him about the problems being faced by the people of district.
Leader of delegation Abdul Rehman Wani said, till date government and Baglihar project authorities have failed to provide a bridge over river Chenab at village Trungal at Marsoo, though the foundation stone of the same was laid some time back. He said the people particularly school going children due to this face lot of problems.
The deputation also brought to the notice of the leader that apart from construction of bridge, it was also decided that a crane at a cost of Rs. 95 lakh would be purchased and installed for ferrying to and fro the people; particularly the student, over Chenab, which too has not been purchased and installed till date. Instead, talking advantage of this sorry state of affairs, these leaders complained, a private entrepreneur is indulging in fleecing the public including school going children by charging at the rate of Rs. 20 per head each way.
Sheikh listened the deputation and assured them for early redressal of their grievances. |
