New University campus at Bhadarwah to be ready by Jan: DDC

District Development Commissioner, Doda Mr. Sourabh Bhagat accompanied by a team of district/ sub division officers including Sub Divisional Magistrate Bhadarwah and Chief Executive Officer, Bhadarwah Development Authority (BDA) conducted an extensive tour of Sungli- Teligarh- Sarna area of Bhadarwah tehsil and took stock of ongoing developmental works on the important projects underway in the area.
The DDC inspected the construction work of TRC building at Amiranagar and the site identified by SDM/CEO BDA at Teligarh for construction of Tourism Conference Hall, six tourist huts and a cafteria there. He directed the concerned to expedite the construction work at Amiranagar and appreciated the efforts put in by BDA in connecting the Teligarh with a fair weather motorable road and conceiving a well thought plan for tourism infrastructure development there. In the review meeting held on spot, the DDC rationalized the total quantum of land demanded and to be acquired by BDA.
While inspecting the construction work of University Campus at Sungli Bhadarwah, the Rector putforth demand for provision of computers for the computer lab for MCA/ E-learning. The Rector also advocated with DDC for dedicated access to CIC for students of University at least for few months till University get its own VSAT. Responding to the demands, the DDC issued directions for exploring the possibility of allocation of funds from Information Technology besides agreed to take up the matter for access to CIC.
Earlier during his visit to University Campus, the DDC interacted with the faculty, staff and students and also visited the class rooms. He appreciated that how the entire academic activities are operating in a small building and assured the rector that positively by January new premises shall be ready for handing over. He also visited Library, Labs, computer Lab and discussed about how the information technology training of MCA students and improvement in Campus recruitment by University-Business partnership can be done. Other allied works like fencing of University Campus, landscaping, establishment of PR, central heating system in university premises and security arrangements from the beginning of next year were also reviewed in the meeting.
