| Army holds cultural-cum-sports festival | | | Early Times Reporter

The army’s DAH division is organized a cultural festival VIRASAT in Naushera to highlight the local heritage and traditions of Jhangar Naushera Belt.
The fortnight long festival is being held at Kalsiyan, near Naushera debates will witness a flurry of activities in include painting competitions debates cultural programmes of various schools colleges of Naushera, Rajouri and Poonch, programmes by amateur theatre groups, song and drama division of ministry of defence and the cultural group of Jammu on varsity. The event is open to all schools, colleges, dramatics societies, theatre groups and amateur artists. Competitions in traditional games and sports like cock fighting and stone lifting traditional sporting encounters like inter school Hockey, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball is also being organized.
Renowed folk artist Poonch Kartar Chand is along with his team is also taking part in the show. |
