Govt probes Pak nationals getting jobs

The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered a magisterial probe of the case in which a Pakistani national had managed to secure government jobs to four of his family members in bordering district of Rajouri.
Additional Commissioner Sudershan Sharma commenced the probe ordered by the Jammu and Kashmir home department yesterday and has been asked to submit a report to the government within one month, official sources said.
Sarwar Hussain, a Pakistani passport holder, was able to secure government jobs for his wife, two daughters and a son in the social welfare and law departments in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said The shocling incident came to light during an investigation into the cases of various Pakistani citizens staying illegally in the border areas of the state.
''We are looking for the relevant records in this direction and will hand over the same to the probe officer soon, ''Rajouri District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rafeeq Ahmed Shah has said.
Sarwar even managed to enter politics and became a National Conference (NC) activist and in 2003 joined People's Democratic Party (PDP). In an alleged collusion with revenue officials, he managed to get a state subject certificate, backward class certificate and similar certificates for children too.
Using his political influence, Sarwar got the government jobs for his family members, official sources said. His wife Zohra Begum was appointed as Anwari worker in social welfare department while his elder daughter Zahida Bano got a clerical job in the same department. His son Murtaza Ahmed and another daughter Jasmeen Akhtar got jobs in the state law department, the sources said.
