| Ousted staff to protest on Monday | | | Early Times Reporter

All J&K Excise & Commercial Taxes Employees Association is holding a protest rally here on Monday to press for their demand of getting reinstated to their respective jobs.
According to association chief Adil Rashid Khan, the rally will begin from India Chowk in the morning and culminate at Indira Chowk.
Khan said that despite repeated assurances by the authorities there demand has not been met with and this was forcing them to intensify their stir. “The assurance was given to us by the chief minister in a public meeting and also by the finance minister on the floor of legislative assembly, but to our utter surprise, nothing practical has been done so far,” he added.
“To highlight our demand, we have now decided to hold a protest rally on the day of opening of civil secretariat to apprise the concerned authorities,” he further said. |
