Kamal Rohmetra and Vishal Abrol today entered into the final of senior snooker in the ongoing 17th State Billiards and Snooker Championships at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here.
In the semi-finals, played today, Kamal Rohmetra defeated Umar Humayoon 4-2 in the best of seven frame game. The score: 62-40, 55-30, 69-27, 56-8. The second semi-final was won by Vishal Abrol, who beat Younis Kuchey 4-3. The score: 63-42, 37-56, 77-27, 23-65, 34-61, 62-20, 53-50.
Earlier, Kamal topped the pool-b winning all the three matches. In the last quarterfinals league match, Kamal defeated Younis Kuchey 3-1. Whereas in group a, Vishal Abrol topped with three wins.
Meanwhile, the junior snooker final between Miya Bashir and Muddasar Ashiq has been scheduled for November 5 at 10 am. The junior billiards competitions shall start from tomorrow, said Sheetal Gandotra, general secretary of the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association. |
