| Azad returning today | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 3 Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad who was away in Saudi Arabia performing Umrah will be returning to Delhi Sunday morning and will reach Jammu in the evening, official sources said. Monday morning, on the eve of reopening of civil secretariat in the winter capital, Azad will inspect the customary guard of honour before the functioning in the civil secretariat formally begins. Meanwhile, the winter capital city of Jammu which showed potholed roads and choking drains entire summers has been decked up like a bride. Even though huge expenditure is being incurred on beautification of city, the sprucing up of secretariat building alone has cost the public exchequer Rs 62 lakhs. Under overall supervision of the Roads and Buildings department, various engineering and civic wings are working overnight to repair roads and execute other renovation works. Pedestrian paths and roadside avenues are being given last brush of paint in the beautification drive which is likely to continue for another week.
