Agriculture technocrats engaged under ‘Rahbari-e-Zirat’ scheme have decided not to celebrate Diwali saying that till date they have not been paid any remuneration for their jobs.
According to a press release, since their appointment in April 2007 the technocrats have not been paid any wages, though promised by the chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad at Poonch that before Eid they will be paid regularly and SRO be put into action.
The release further said a cabinet sub-committee was framed under health minister, Mangat Ram Sharma and agriculture minister, Abdul Aziz Zargar to look into the matter and recommend the recommendations, but nothing has been done so far.
All the technocrats have urged upon the CM to intervene into the matter and solve the problem of technocrats.
