| Sixth pay commission sought | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 4 Demanding release of sixth pay commission by Dec 31; president of the National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri has urged upon the Govt. to implement it with effect from Jan 2006 across the country. Addressing a largely attendant NMC workers rally here today, Shastri also pleaded that the central govt. should fully meet the expenditure on implementation of the pay panel report in the J&K and other resource deficit state. While pledging the cause of state govt employees, Shastri has also appealed the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for granting bonus to state Govt. employees on the pattern of central govt besides reviving LTC. Lauding the two years achievement of Azad led govt, Shastri urged for grant of all pending installments of COLA, time bound regularization of all daily wagers. The NMC chief also hailed the appointment of B.R. Kundal as new Chief Secretary of the state and exuded confidence that all the pending demands of salaried class would get resolved very shortly. Pleading the cause of working class, Shastri also demanded regularization of all Daily wagers of Rural Development, Sericulture, Floriculture and Power Development Department, besides releasing cola installments in favour of Public Sector employees, release of salary of motivators working in the IWDP Project Akhnoor and their quick regularization, deputing Chainman of revenue department for Patwar training, timely payment of wages of Daily wagers and enhancement of the daily wagers from Rs. 70 to Rs. 100 per month, adjusting on vacant posts of seasonal labourers working in Irrigation division Akhnoor, release of 52 months wages of workers of Trikuta Hills Project of Social Forestry Department, providing pending salary of Mallis cum chowkidars of RDD immediately and deputing causal Labourers of Floriculture for Gardener’s Training. Prominent among those who also addressed the rally included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Sham Lal Sharma, Lalit Kumar Sharma, Puran Chand, Satpal, Barkat Ram, Madan Lal, Kasturi Lal, Ram Lal, Bodh Raj, Mohd. Farooq, Sukh Dev Singh, Sham Singh and others. |
