| Creative craft contest kicks off in 42 cities | | | Mumbai, August 22: The International Creative Craft Contest (ICCC) 2006, an initiative by Pidilite Industries Ltd to recognise and reward excellence in the fields of Art & Craft, was kicked off in the city today with great fanfare and enthusiasm.
More than 5,000 schools are participating in ICCC 2006 across India. The school level rounds commenced today with desire for winning prizes for their schools shining brightly in the eyes of the students as put their creativity down on sheets of paper.
The contest provides an excellent platform for students to explore their creativity and also showcase their talent. "Craft per se helps the child develop his/her cognitive and motor skills as well as gives a boost to his creativity and Individuality. Arranging this International Creative Craft Contest on such a large scale gives children an opportunity to showcase their talent at national level in a competitive arena, and win exciting prizes at the same time, which will develop their self confidence. |
