| PHQ resumes work at Jammu | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 5 Director General of Police, today inspected various offices of Police Headquarter (PHQ), which reopened here after Annual Darbar Move. The Director General of Police, on his arrival was presented guard of honor at PHQ premises. He was felicitated by Inspector General of Police Headquarters, J. A. Makhdoomi, Deputy Inspector General of Police Ravinder Kotwal and Farooq Ahmed and other senior police officers during his inspection While inspecting the various offices Khoda had a detailed interaction with officials and stressed upon them to discharge their duties with zeal, enthusiasm and discipline. He also enquired from them about their residential accommodation and directed the senior officers to ensure that move police officials will not face any problem. Later, interacting with the media persons, Khoda said that my first priority will be to look after the welfare of jawans, officers and families of police martyrs. He said while fighting militancy it is the prime obligation of policement to ensure that innocent people do not suffer and asked them to maintain better relations with the public. Replying to a question, the Director General of Police said that traffic regulation system in both Srinagar and Jammu cities would be further improved as the flow of vehicles is increasing in both capital cities. He said the traffic authorities have been put on high alert to regulate the traffic properly. About the crime rate, he said that necessary instructions have been given to the officials to bring it down by more effective and vigilant policing. Among others the function was attended by Inspectors General of Police K. Rajindra, Naveen Aggarwal, Dr. S. P. Vaid, Sheikh Owais Ahmed, A. K. Gupta, Raja Aijaz Ali, Mohammad Amin Shah, Dilbagh Singh and other senior police officers. |
