In a press statement issued today, Bhim said that the people of Pakistan and PoK during the past five years have seen the blossoming face of Indian democracy during their short span of freedom of movement and interaction between the intellectuals, the academics, the media persons, the business community of India and Pakistan. President Musharraf shall not be allowed by the circumstances and democratic urges of the people of Pakistan and PoK to reverse the process. The Panthers Party Chief said that the ongoing peace process has been damaged heavily by the imposition of Emergency in Pakistan which is threatening peace prospects in South-East Asia. Prof. Bhim Singh appealed to the peace-keeping force along LoC to take stringent measures to keep Pakistani Martial Law beyond the boundaries of PoK and Gilgit. Prof. Bhim Singh expressed full support and solidarity with the democratic forces in Pakistan and PoK in their struggle against Martial Law. |
