Early Times Reporter JAMMU | Nov 5 For its Silver Jubilee celebrations in particular and promotion of adventure sports in Jammu and Kashmir in general, the Tawi Trekkers, J&K today got support from its members who have come forward to contribute in kind. An institutional member, the MNDP School, R S Pura has donated Rs 11000 to Tawi Trekkers while founder member and general secretary of Ibex Adventure Club, Jammu has contributed Rs 10,000 for promotion of adventure sports in the state. The cheques were received on behalf of Tawi Trekkers by Prof Lalit Magotra, advisor from Principal MNDP School, Anil Choudhary and secretary of Ibex Club, Shamsher Singh in a function held here today. Among others present were general secretary, Tawi Trekkers, Ram Khajuria, president Ibex Adventure Club, Dr Kavi Raj Dubey, Director Sprawling Buds School, Rahul Sharma, Om Parkash Padha, Charu Nagar, Subash Badyal, Virender Magotra, Sumit Khajuria, Seema Kharyal and general secretary Mountaineering Association of J&K, Dr C K Khajuria. It is pertinent to mention here that Tawi Trekkers, J&K is celebrating its silver jubilee on December two. “The week-long celebrations include sport climbing competitions, adventure picnics, quiz and painting competitions besides medical camp, a small trekking expedition and a visit to a wild life part etc.,” general secretary of Tawi Trekkers, Ram Khajuria said.
