Involving the local youth and students from different educational institutions, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) in collaboration with State Sports Council organized day long rural sports meet at village Barori in Smailpur, near here today.
At least five private and government schools took part in different competitions of kabaddi, volleyball, kho-kho, tug of war and athletics. The participating schools were Middle School Barori, High School Suchani, Higher Secondary School Raya, Kamal Shiksha Niketan and Higher Secondary School Smailpur.
Later, in the prize distribution function, Headmaster of Middle School Barori, Faqir Singh was chief guest. Among others present were staff members from participating schools and officials of the DYSS. |
