| Kundal presents enquiry report on SFC | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 6 Chief Secretary, B. R. Kundal today presented to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad the enquiry report on the alleged irregularities in the State Forest Corporation. The Government had ordered a high level enquiry into the alleged irregularities in the State Forest Corporation including creation of artificial scarcity of timber in the State to facilitate import of timber by the State Forest Corporation through a middleman. Mr. Kundal, the then Financial Commissioner, Home had been appointed as the Enquiry Officer vide Government Order No. 475-FST of 2007 dated 12-09-2007. The enquiry report comprises 98 pages. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister in an informal chat with media persons during his visit to some major development projects in the city said that the recommendations made in the report would be implemented. Asked to divulge details of the report, he said that he had not gone through it yet. “The report was presented to me just now before the start of the city tour”, he said. |
