| Pir Panchal to initaiate dialogue to restore sanctity of Sharda Vidyapeeth | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 6 Pir Panchal an NGO has announced the first ever formal Executive Committee to lead a formal dialogue with the respective governments of India and Pakistan for restoration of sanctity of Sharda Vidyapeeth and in this connection it has roped in Ashish Kaul, the vice President of Zee Group as Chairman of Executive Committee. press conference here Tuesday, President Pir Panchal, Ramesh Hangloo said that the primary objective of this Executive Committee will be to build secular action group in India and Pakistan comprising of eminent citizens of both the countries. "This committee will spearhead the national awareness campaign to create awareness for Sharda Vidyapeeth, its preservation and re-introduce India as torch bearer of peace secularism and spirituality to the world," he said. Regarding the action plan of Panchal, he said that the executive committee will announce an action plan in coming days, adding that the organization had led a peace march to line of control in URI sector seeking recognition of Sharda University as a heritage monument by the Government of Pakistan. "The department of archeology of Pakistan latter acknowledged Shardha Vidyapeeth as a heritage site and sanctioned rupees one crore as aid for upkeep and maintenance of site as a result of our efforts" he said. Ashish Kaul Chairman of the Executive Committee said that both India and Pakistan should allow KPs to visit the Sharda Vidyapeeth as this was the first seat of spiritual learning to host convocations and issue formal degrees to its disciples. On the occasion he also stressed for preservation of sharda language in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Sharda Vidya Peeth existed around 800 BC and is known to be the first University in the world that taught spirituality to the mankind. It is situated in Sharda village, Tehsil Athmuqam, District Muzaffarabad, PoK, The executive committee comprises of Ashish Koul, P.N Taku, Meenakshi Kilam, Rehan Kidwai, Rakesh Kumar, Vishal diwan, Manoj Jad, Vijay Koul and others. |
