| Congress leader highlights problems of Rajouri | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Nov 6 Congress leader and Chairman All India Mahatama Gandhi National Foundation, Zahir Abbas Bhatti after touring some parts of Rajouri highlighted the problems being faced by the people of District. Addressing a press conference here Tuesday, Bhatti said that besides the bad condition of girls hostel there is an acute problem of teaching and non teaching staff in Degree College Rajouri. Demanding immediate posting of required staff in the college and renovation of girls hostel, he said that the students are facing the acute problem due to non availability of staff. He also demanded separate Degree College for women at Rajouri so that thousands of women students can benefit from the facility as the already existing one is overloaded. On the occasion, Bhatti expressed concern over the shortage of staff, lack of bath rooms boundary wall and play ground at govt. Girls Model Higher Secondary School Gujjar Mandi Rajouri. He said that these are the basic facilities for any school and should be provided on top priority. He stressed upon the central government to sanction rupees 19 crore more for the completion of under construction District hospital at Rajouri. On the occasion, he expressed serious concern over the functioning of Agriculture and Horticulture Department in Rajouri District as there is shortage of seed, fertilizers due to which farmers are suffering hard. He also demanded Degree colleges at Manjakot, Budhal, Darhal and Surankot and ITI at Thanna Mandi, Manjakot, Darhal and Budhal. Demanding repair of roads, lanes and drains of Rajouri city, Bhati said that there is an immediate need to repair roads, lanes and drains of the city as they are in very bad conditions creating problems for the people of city. However, he appreciated the efforts of Azad led coalition government for all round development of the state and stressed upon bureaucrats and other govt. employees to emulate the dedication of Azad so that peace and properity is established in the state. |
