The dharna of retrenched employees of Excise to commercial taxes entered 279 day here today.
After Darbar move to winter capital, these retrenched employees continue their protest again at Panama-Chowk as there main demands of absorption in the department ha not been full-filled, till date. Addressing the protestors the sate president Adil Rashid Khan said, that retrenched employees tried to take out protest rally, but were prevented by the police. Khan further said that Govt. Show & tae lenient view, as these poor employees are facing number of problems, besides are not in a position to pay school fee of their children.
He said, matter was taken up in the legislature during the last session, but till date nothing has come out from govt side. He appealed the chief minister that a humanitarian Grands retrenched employees he re-absorbed and save their families from starvation. |
