| Girl’s body fished out from Chenab River | | | Early Times Reporter

A body of a girl was found in Chenab River near Prem Nagar area 18 kms from district headquarters.
She has identified as 22 year Akhtar daughter of Ghulam Hussain R/O Mahlna area of Prem Nagar. Sources said that one Tata Sumo driver coming from Kishtwar towards Bhadarwah spotted the body in the Chenab and informed the Police Post Prem Nagar who rushed to the spot and fished out the body from the river.
According to sources, the girl was missing from the last three weeks and it is said that she might have jumped into the river and the body was recovered today.
The Police as well as family members of the deceased have appreciated the passengers in helping in fishing out the body and providing timely information to the police .
The reasons behind her death are yet to be ascertained, however, the unofficial sources
maintain that she might have been committed suicide by jumping into the river. The exact cause would be known only after proper investigation in the case is taken up by the police, the sources added. |
