| HC issues notice to respondents in selection of teachers | | | Early Times Reporter

In a petition challenging the selection of teachers for District Jammu, Justice Virender Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing issued notice to State of J&K through Chief Secretary, Secretary Service Selection Board, Director Education Jammu and 20 selectees. After hearing Adv PN Raina appearing for the petitioner Joyti Kumari Bhat, the Court ordered service of notice through prescribed mode and furnishing of necessary requisites within seven days.
In the petition petitioner Joyti Kumari Bhat d/o Hari Krishan Bhat presently r/o Talab Tillo Jammu submitted that vide advertisement notice issued by SSRB on December 29, 2005, the petitioner being B. Ed and M. Ed was eligible and had applied for the post of teacher for District Cadre Jammu but was ignored while the less qualified persons were selected. She prayed before the Court for seeking quashment of selection of 20 private respondents for the post of teacher district cadre Jammu. JNF |
