8/21/2006 6:43:04 PM

Jammu, August, 21: Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today granted bail to Veerji Bhat an employee of M/S Sham Lal and Sons allegedly involved in 10 lace liters kerosene oil scam with the direction that he shall be released from custody on his furnishing personal recognizance and recognizance of surety in the amount of Rs 50,000/- each to the satisfaction of Registrar Judicial High Court Jammu Wing.

While granting bail Justice JP Singh after hearing Advocate AK Sawhney appearing for the petitioner and Additional Advocate General BS Salathia appearing for the respondents, observed that Mr. Sawhney has informed the Court that the petitioner has surrendered to custody pursuant to the directions issued by this Court. This appears to have been done on the ground that investigation in the case was almost complete and in this view of the matter the application filed by the petitioner is allowed.
