| 2 LeT militants killed in Pattan | | | Early Times Reporter

Security forces and police claimed to have gunned down two militants of LeT in an encounter at Sadhpora Pattan late last night.
Official sources quoting DIG Baramulla told News Agency of Kashmir that the operation was launched last evening on a specific information that militants were hiding in Sadporta Mohalla near Jama Masjid about one kilometer from Pattan town.
Acting on the information 29 RR and police launched a search operation and laid a cordon around the area, said sources, adding when troops were zeroing in on their target militants hurled a grenade on their vehicle injuring a jawan, he added.
Sources told News Agency of Kashmir that troops laid a siege around a house where militants were hiding, adding the firing continued overnight in which two militants were killed.
Sources said, the initial investigation revealed that the slain militants belonged to LeT. |
