| HSS Bishnah girls bag kabaddi title in rural sports | | | Early Times Reporter

In the ongoing rural sports meets organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council, girls team of hosts Higher Secondary School Bishnah emerged winner in kabaddi.
In the final HSS Bishnah defeated the local team of Banachak 28-23. Girls kho-kho trophy went to Middle School Babachak, who beat HSS Bishnah 14-10. The tug of war title was won by the team of Banachak beating those from Bishnah 2-1.
In boys volleyball event, HSS Bishnah outplayed locals of Nougran 2-0 whereas in kabaddi, locals beat Middle School Banachak 22-20. In kho-kho, Lions Club Bishnah trounced Tiger Sports Club Bishnah 7-5.
The tug of war boys trophy was claimed by locals of Naungran, who beat local team of Bishnah 2-1.
District Youth Services and Sports officer, Jai Raj was chief guest in the prize distribution function. In his brief address, he encouraged the participants to continue taking part in the sports activities at the higher level too. |
